Maple Creek

Scope: Groundworks, Roads & Sewers, External Works (156 Units)

Maple Creek is a residential development of 156 new homes in Fobbing, Essex, set within a semi-rural landscape of open green fields while remaining within easy reach of the amenities of neighbouring Basildon.

The site was formerly the Vange Water Works and, following its decommissioning and remediation, Knight Group was appointed to deliver the full groundworks and external works package. The project required careful coordination to transform the brownfield site into a sustainable, fully serviced residential development.

Knight Group’s scope of works included:

  • Installation of infrastructure roads and foul and surface water sewers

  • Construction of traditional and piled foundations

  • Delivery of all ponds, swales, and associated Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
