RACE THE SUN 2016 

On the 3rd September the Knight Riders competed in the Race the Sun (Lakes) 2016. The race involved a 25 mile cycle, a hike up to the summit of Helvellyn at 3116 ft, which is  England’s second highest mountain, a 3km canoe on Lake Thirlmere and finished off with another 25 mile cycle with some very tough climbs. The Knight Riders have raised £4860 for the children’s charity Action Medical Research. Many Thanks to all our generous Sponsors and Congratulations to Knight Riders!

DRESS DOWN FRIDAY

Dress down last Friday of each month at Knight Group head office – donations this year are to be allocated will be announced soon.

 

ADAM RICHARDSON

Senior Surveyor Adam took part in this year’s Nuclear Race, this consisted of a 12k race through heavy mud and water, as well as contending with over 80 obstacles with names like the ‘Nutcracker’ and ‘Nuclear Pontoon’. Adam is raising money for the Sick Children’s Trust, which have helped his friends Dan & Kerri through their difficult times after their son was born and required Emergency Brain Surgery at Addenbrooke’s. So far Adam and the rest of his team have raised an amazing £2400.

CHARITY BIKE RIDE

On May 8th 2016, Ashley King, Graham Holden, Graham Eyre, Jess Perry, Matt Parmenter, Kevin Stannard & John Papworth completed a charity cycle ride. The cycle was in aid of The Helen Rollason Cancer Charity called ‘Ride for Helen’.
