National Apprenticeship Week

2020

In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, we will be sharing feedback from our past and present trainees and apprentices on their experiences and journey with Knight Group.

We have a long history of taking on apprentices and trainees, many of whom are now in Site Management, Senior Management, and Director roles. We support a range of different apprenticeship and trainee roles that include Groundwork Apprentices, Plant Operative Apprentices, Management Trainees, Trainee Estimators, Trainee Buyers, and Trainee Quantity Surveyors.

We actively recruit apprentices by working alongside local schools and colleges to support awareness of the industry and promote the many opportunities the industry has. We take on apprentices from the age of 16 and encourage anyone, at any age, that the apprenticeship route is a great one, with limitless prospects.

Our apprenticeship and trainee programmes are structured to ensure that our trainees and apprentices get the very most out of their journey and have the tools and experience to go on to have a fulfilled and successful career.

We are immensely proud of our apprentices and trainees and all of their achievements. This year we alone we have seen two of our Construction Operative Apprentices complete their full apprenticeship early and achieve their qualifications, with a further four to follow shortly. Last year we had the pleasure of attending the CITB National Apprenticeship Awards 2019, where David won the Inspirational Apprentice Award. We can’t wait to see what 2020 brings, with the addition of 5 Plant Operative Apprentices in December 2019 and more Construction Operatives coming on board later this year.

Keep an eye out this week for our posts on all things trainees and apprentices and if you have any questions please get in touch!
