Since 2018, Knight Group have had the in-house capability to supply & install street lighting and street furniture. This was a decision made to overcome some of the difficulties associated with out sourcing and needing to react to client’s needs at short notice. This is a service we would now like to expand and offer out externally as a standalone service on projects where Knight Group may not already be employed. Our Knight Light service is available to any client that may have a requirement for new installations or maintenance works on existing installations.

Supply & Installation of street lighting columns for Highways, carparks, footways and housing developments.

Supply & installation of lanterns to the client’s specification or help in advising on the specification to utilise.

Upgrading existing street lights to the latest energy efficient LED lanterns.

Supply & installation of feeder pillars, traffic signs & posts, including standard & passive posts, illuminated and non-illuminated signs, traffic bollards, directions signs, solar powered signs, supply & installation of posts and beacons for pedestrian crossings.

Supply & installation of private SWA armoured cables and any associated trenching & ducting works including single & three phase electrical networks. Private street light connections, jointing & repair of cables.

Testing & commissioning of streetlighting and Street Furniture all carried out by our HERS registered trained operatives.

We pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of service and quality in a professional manner and maintaining good communication with our clients throughout the durations of our contracts. Our Knight Light operatives and management have over 15 years’ experience working in the streetlighting industry and are trained and registered with the Highway Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS) which allows the company to work on local government schemes meaning the staff are professionally trained and competent in the street lighting industry.
