Oaklands

Scope: Groundworks, Roads & Sewers, External Works (35 Units)

Oaklands was an exclusive residential development of 35 new homes located in the highly sought-after village of Copford, Essex. The development benefits from a well-connected setting that combines attractive countryside surroundings and modern convenience, with Colchester city centre close by and Chelmsford and London within easy reach.

Knight Group was appointed to deliver the full groundworks and external works package for the development. The project required careful planning and coordination to integrate new infrastructure within an established village environment while enhancing local connectivity.

Knight Group’s scope of works included:

  • Installation of infrastructure roads and foul and surface water sewers, including all Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)

  • Construction of traditional foundations

  • Delivery of Section 278 works, including improvements to Hall Road

  • Off-site drainage connections
