St George’s Park

 

Client: Bellway Homes (Thames Gateway)

Project: St Georges Park, Hornchurch, Essex

Nature of Project: Infrastructure Roads and Sewers, Groundworks (306 Units) and External Works.

Project Value: Phase 1 – Infrastructure and Groundworks – £11 million (148Units)

                        Phase 2 – Groundworks –     £4 million  (158 Apartments/6 Blocks)

Knight group were awarded the contract to be involved with the regeneration of the former St Georges Hospital Site in Hornchurch, Essex.

The contract was let in 2 phases, with the first involving installing all the new infrastructure and constructing the new strip and piled foundations, along with drainage and external works to the newly designed homes.

The second phases consisted mostly of apartments and involved some works to aid in the refurbishment of the existing retained buildings.

An extremely popular site for the client which proved to sell extremely well on a very well-designed development.
