Trainee Estimator

TRAINEE ESTIMATOR

Knight Group are one of the leading groundworks and civil engineering companies in the South East and due to continued growth, is currently recruiting for a Trainee Estimator at the head office in Kelvedon, Essex. 

The successful applicant will be an addition to our Estimating Team, with the opportunity to join a busy department and learn the companies Tendering processes from Tender Bid to securing contracts.

This role would suit an individual who is looking to pursue a career in the construction industry, who will be given the opportunity to learn and develop the skill set to analyse and understand construction drawings, take off and produce Bills of Quantities and work with the latest CAD based software.

The applicant will also be involved in sending out and the management of sub-contract enquiries.

The applicant should show good communication skills, excellent application to learning and enjoy working with numbers and utilising their numerical skills

The role will involve working as part of a team and independently and the right applicant will be offered further education on a day release basis to give them the opportunity for further education whilst working.

Requirements:-

• Interest in the construction industry
• Excellent Application to learn and develop new skills
• Manage own time and prioritise
• Wiling to work with Computers and learning CAD based software
• Working both individually and part of a team
• Develop and improve their communication skills.
• Have Excellent numerical skill
• Organised and methodical.
• GCSE’s in Maths, English and IT
