On the 3rd September the Knight Riders competed in the Race the Sun (Lakes) 2016 in very wet weather conditions. The Knight Riders Team consisted of Guy Barker (Commercial Director), Richard Stannard (Estimating Director), Stuart Willsmer (Construction Manager) and Alex Rudgley (Senior Quantity Surveyor) – all representing the Knight Group. The race involved a 25 mile cycle, a hike up to the summit of Helvellyn at 3116 ft, which is  England’s second highest mountain, a 3km canoe on Lake Thirlmere and finished off with another 25 mile cycle with some very tough climbs. The challenge that the Knight Riders set themselves has raised £4860 for the children’s charity Action Medical Research. The money raised for this charity is dedicated to improving the health of babies and children. Many Thanks to all our generous Sponsors and Congratulations to Knight Riders!
